Whirlpool Washer Duet Error Code F1 E2
The main control board motor circuit has malfunctioned internally.
The motor circuit has malfunctioned due to over voltage or over current condtions.
This error can also be caused by temporary power loss during the spin cycle. If this error occurs while the washer is in high spin mode, the door will remain locked for 3 minutes, even after power interruption.
You will need to check the motor circuit.
Whirlpool Duet Washer Motor Circuit Test
- Disconnect power to the washer.
- manually rotate the tub and make sure that if moves freely, if it does not this is why the motor is struggling find out what is causing the friction.
- Disconnect the motor wiring harness from the main control board.
- Check the motor windings with an ohm meter:
- Pins 1 & 2 should have 6 - 20 Ω
- Pins 2 & 3 should have 6 - 20 Ω
- Pins 1 & 3 should have 6 - 20 Ω
If those values do not check out then replace the stator, if they do plug the motor harness back up and plug the washer back in if the error persists replace the main control board.
